Laboratory Facilities
The Harvard extension computation facilities at 53 Church Street are provisioned with powerful Wintel desktops that are configured with Windows XP, Visual Studio 7 .NET, Office XP, and various database facilities including Access and SQL Server, and limited Oracle. The facilities can be used by students as a “reference platform” for what E-143 requires, and can be used to complete assignments for this course.
The facilities at both 53 Church Street, and the ScienceCenter, are undergoing extensive upgrades, and the on-line material may not be current. What has been planned at 53 Church is a computer lab that has 50-100 Dells with 1.7Ghz, 512M, 40G capability, with floppy, Zip, and CD-RW’s.
